Labour Day and Lobster

Posted by CheapRunnerMike

Holiday Monday.  Lazy cottage morning.  Perfection.

Just sitting on my front porch sipping coffee and reading, can't beat it Smile

I've started to read Veronica Roth's Divergent series as Kennedy read them all and has been on me for a while to read them as well.  I read the Hunger Games series because of her and enjoyed them, and through one book anyways, Divergent isn't too bad.  It's nice to be able to read some of the same books as her and have something to share with each other.

Yesterday was our annual Lobsterfest and it was a great day…the weather cooperated (it was perfect, actually) and we had a nice turnout.  As always, we had way too much food!

We capped the evening with a campfire and even had a chance to belt out a few tunes…it was a great day all around.

We have been in a Disney mood lately as we had our Disney Vacation Club offer go through last week, and we are now within our 60-day window of our next family trip as well…that means we were able to make our FastPass reservations and pick the rides we really want to do.  Kennedy is excited to try out the brand new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster (and who am I kidding, so am I!) and we were able to secure a FastPass for it for one of our days.  We've also been showing our Disney Side as a family at breakfast as Jackson enjoys his Mickey pancakes on his Mickey plate…

Doesn't that look yummy??

I even got in a Disney-themed run the other day as I busted out my Tower of Terror 10-Miler shirt for my 10K lunch run…which turned out to be my fastest training run so far this year!  I'm feeling pretty good about my half marathon coming up this Sunday…I think I just might have a shot at breaking the 1:30 barrier.

Well enjoy your Labour Day folks, we'll be back at it tomorrow!
