Well unlike the rest of my family…I’m back to work today. Although the sky is pretty black and it just started pouring rain out, so I’m not sure that I am really missing out on any outdoor activities until I return.

It’s one of our readers (and he also happens to be a real-life-friend) birthday today – so HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN!!!

I finally got my butt in gear and got out for a run…and it was GREAT. It was an even slowerish run for me, but my goal was to get out there, not have knee issues, and WANT to get back at it. Check, check and check. I felt great the whole time, just jamming out to my tunes and enjoying the beautiful scenery. By the time I got back from my run, the kids were up, so we made breakfast, and then packed up to head out on the boat.

We tooted around for a bit, and then headed to the end of the beach, and dropped anchor, so that we could just relax, and swim off the boat.

We had a great time hanging out with the kids and just chillaxin…and Mike and I even received a nice compliment…as Mike and I were trying to teach K how to do back flips off the back of the boat – she told us that she has the coolest parents ever!!! – I’ll take it…I hope my kids still want to hang with us, for years to come.

What do you like to do to spend some quality time with your family?

Anyone else just getting out of a running slump?
