Not Quite Yet I Guess

Posted by Anonymous

Monday, I got my sister and I registered for the “Run for Retina” race here in London, on April 13th. This will be her first ½ marathon and I will be running it with her. She is a faster runner than I am so hopefully I can keep up with her.

This week has brought us a roller coaster of weather, but hey, it’s March, so it’s what we expect.

I was super excited to get outside for a shortish run this week, so Tuesday night, it was 11/52 degrees out so I thought that was perfect temps to hit the path. I got all dressed and ready to go.

I got down to the path and realized it was pure ice and slush. So I headed indoors. It was a good thought but not quite yet I guess.

My reward for not running was a good warm comfort food dish of chicken parmesan. That, if I may add, I made myself. I don’t cook often anymore, but when I do, I do it right!

Lots of cheese right??

Wednesday brought us another 15 cm (or more) of snow and back to the Polar Vortex, so I headed straight to the gym for my run.

Oh, how I miss you grass!

One last thing that I read this week that I want to share!

Soooo true!! No wonder we are so confused!

Any winter lovers out there who just don’t want winter to go away? You better see a doctor if this is true!

Any Aunty Acid lovers?

Ontario really has had a bad winter this year! We luckily escaped a huge snow fall here in Nova Scotia. I know PEI and NB got a ton of snow so I was never so happy to see rain in my life! Haha, SO over winter. C'mon Spring! Good Luck in the race, I'm sure you'll keep up with her!

YUM chicken parm!! I am def confused about body image. In fact, I posted a pic last night and made fun of my thunder thighs. I got very supportive comments and realized that they are strong thighs that allow me to run half marathons n' such!
