Party Pants‏

Thank-you everyone for all the birthday wishes. This past weekend marked "party time" to celebrate ME! I had a great time surrounded with my loved ones!...so let's re-cap...the celebrating actually started on Wednesday at lunch...but since Mike already filled ya'll in on that, we shall start with Wednesday night - my mom took me out at a new-to-us restaurant for dinner Bungalow

We ordered the chicken lettuce wraps to start, and then for dinner I had the pad thai salad. Although I enjoyed my salad, I LUV'd the lettuce wraps - and the next time I go back, I would probably just order that for my meal...as there was more than enough in the serving to make a meal out of it.

Then on Friday I got a surprise visit from my mom at work, and the two of us enjoyed a nice lunch together a little diner type restaurant just down the road from my work.

After work time on Friday it was time to put our party pants on and head to the cottage

...except I think Jackson and Rhoda got confused...and they put their party hats on their heads...

By the time we arrived my MIL had already been busy putting up some decorations in time for our arrival

Once we had a drink in hand Mike fired up the grill

Now don't get me wrong dinner was super delish...BUT the best part of dinner was dessert - homemade piñata cake - made with love by Em (my SIL)

How awesome of a job did she do making this cake?!?! Seriously she is sooo talented!...and YES the cake/candy was even better than it looks!!!!

Next we all moved around the campfire for pressie time

I got a nice new pashmina scarf, a mani/pedi, bath stuff, new beach chairs, some new clothes/magazine subscription/pro compression socks, book, necklace...my cake...and another homemade present from my FIL

A new home for all my Essie bottles

Saturday the festivities continued with a frozen concoction party

Mike, Rhoda and I spent the afternoon sampling...it was a perfect ending to a few days of celebrating!

And J and I tested out one of my new beach chairs

Well...back to reality - thanks everyone for a great few days, celebrating ME...until next year friends...
