To Quote the Great Jackson -- "It's good to be home"

Posted by CheapRunnerMichelle

As you all know Mike was on vaycay last week with the kiddos at the cottage...although I had to slave work Tues-Fri...I stayed at the cottage as well...I just drove back and forth everyday...so I guess that kinda means I was on vacation too?!?...ok well not really...but whatever

....it was soooo worth it to get to do this

Getting ready to enjoy a campfire

Get my wall squats in

All kinds of blood vessels popping

Get an early morning beach run in (even if I did getting the runner woe's)

Ready to Run

Got to see J hang out (literally) in his "new" cottage relaxing place

Cheers from the Hammock

...and a little of this with my boys on Saturday

A Rare Beach Day

On Sunday Mike and I got to run together (yeah...thanks MIL!)...but the humidity of like 500% really kicked my running butt...and I only made it to 7km

Post Run Hydration

...so after all the week's activities there were some sweet treats at the mailbox! About a year ago I signed up for a monthly beauty sample subscription...the membership has since changed...and comes every 3 months now instead...I think this was my best box to date...lots of goodies inside that I can't wait to try!

Loose Buttons Box

....and who doesn't love to receive some lululemon in the mail!!!!

Lulu Goodies

...I also finally got my income tax return cheque too...sorry - no pic of that ;)

Although it was a change of pace and a nice little break being "away" last week...there sure is something to be said about having a routine....which means that this is how my Monday morning started...back to a 5:30am wake-up call

We will PUMP. YOU. UP.

What's one of your favourite "routine" things to do?

Who's training for a race? Where and when?

Oh I just love some family time! I am a Type A personality through and through so a routine is like music to my ears :)

  2. My nightly routine is something that I've done for so long I wouldn't know how to let it go - every night I lay out everything I need for my early morning workout (even on vacation!).
I did a little Body Pump this morning - it looks like we have the same barbell!

Looks like some great family time! i like my weekday morning routine of waking up at 5:30 to workout. but i gotta say i prefer my weekend routine of waking up around 7, getting coffee and then working out :)

  5. It's amazing how your body gets so use to the routine you give it...glad it does 'cause it certainly makes those 5:30am wake-up calls more managable :)

  6. Your fam is way too cute! I'm so happy you guys had some time away, even though you had to work a bit. Do I spy a pace setter skirt? Also what's the multi color stripe item? I have to know these things, dang it!!

  7. Are those Lulu running shorts I see in that clear bag?? Let me know what you think of them!!! I have to write out my workouts, that makes them more of a routine for me. No big race schedule, but I am looking for one!!! Love the family pics!!

Looks like a fun time with family! My favorite "routine" thing to do is working out. It is such a big part of my daily life. When I don't workout, I don't feel like myself and I can get pretty cranky! :)
