Loosy Goosy – Part Deux

…oh wait I do know when we’ll be back…Monday afternoon to be exact. Well friends us 3cheaprunners are currently high in the sky on our way out of -26 degree weather – and saying hello to the sunshine state of Florida for the RunDisney Marathon weekend! If you want to follow along with our shenanigans adventures make sure to follow Rhoda, Mike, and I on IG.

If you missed Lossy Gossy part one you can check it out here…so where did we leave off – right we got ½ way through the year…so July here we come.

July 2014

In July I planning on doing a lot of this

So there are not many races on my wish list for this month, BUT 2 years ago Mike and I did the Niagara Triathlon – and it is by far one of the “prettier” courses that I have done – it used to be in August on a long weekend (boo), but this year they are actually having it the last weekend in July – so definitely one I will consider.

I will also for sure do the Bluewater Triathlon again this year…which is normally in July – but they haven’t announced the date for it yet this year. If nothing else this race is a MUST do for all the amazing post race grub you get!

August 2014

I think I’ll take the month off and just celebrate my birthday the entire time ;)

…ya’ll know what that means – it means I’m bringing back the party pants

September 2014

With generally more manageable temps – Sept will be a good month to get in a few races. 2 years ago I participated in the Springbank Road Race, unfortunately last year we didn’t have anyone to watch the kiddos, so the kids and I cheered my 2 fellow cheaprunners on at this race. They offer a 5K and ½ marathon distance…and who knows I might even surprise myself and run a ½ in my own city (eeek – we’ll see)

And then assuming I am in town and not in Chicago the weekend on September 21st – then I will be signing up for the MEC race…depending on the distance I race 2 weeks earlier – I will either run the 10K or the 15K

…I might also look to see if I can sneak in 1 more Triathlon before the season is over. Due to a busy travel/workload in September – I’m not sure yet if it will be possible

October 2014

What’s October without a great costume race?

Pic from the 2013 run

And the Halloween Haunting will do the trick…hhhmmm maybe I should start working on this year's costume

November 2014

I’m not much for running in the cold…but if there’s a race with great prizes (and tons of them) to be won – then you might just be able to twist my arm. Last year London hosted the 1st annual Women’s ½ marathon (they offered other distances and relay as well)…although the race has room for improvement I really enjoyed it, and also liked that the $ raised stayed right here in London for NicU patients. They don’t have a website up yet for this year – so not sure if the race will be on again or not – but if it is – I’ll probably be there

December 2014

Last chance for a fun family run for the year. We have done the Santa Shuffle for the last 2 years…and something tells me that this will be a tradition that will be nice to carry on for years to come with the kiddos

Phew…by the time your done reading this hopefully we’ve landed and lost our woolies in exchange for a bikini and some flip flops!

Anyone else racing this weekend?

What was the last race you signed up for?

  3. You are going to have a great time this weekend, might take you the whole time you are there to thaw out from how cold it has been up north!

I might be running a 5 mile race this weekend. Not a goal race, but will feel good to get some speed under the legs again.
