Curveballs

Posted by CheapRunnerMichelle

And here we are at hump day already friends. Time just seems to be flying by these days, with one day just blurring into the next.

Life definitely threw a big curveball in our family life on Friday - which has had me thinking - how do you go from feeling like a "victim" of life's curveballs to a "victor" of them?

Regroup - just to make things easy for ya...I even dug up the definition of "regroup": reassemble or cause to reassemble into organized groups, typically after being attacked or defeated.

Take a step back and look at the whole picture. Try not to just react to what's going on immediately, as most times you like react out of emotion and not logic.

Pray. Pray and then Pray some more. God cares about YOU. He is good, all the time. And He promises to fight for us and with us. Going to Him in prayer is a fantastic way to find peace with your situation. Prayer is very powerful.

Be Thankful. An unthankful heart can turn you into a bitter and hard person. Stay thankful for the things that you do have, rather than only focusing on the things you don’t have. A merry heart is like good medicine! Look at the positives that you have in your life, because there are ALWAYS positives to be found. Be honest about what you’re facing, but stay thankful and keep your chin up. It will make each day a little bit easier.

And when all else fails...just take this advice ;)

Tell me something you are thankful for today

  1. I'm thankful for the moments when I hear my hubby and daughter playing, talking, reading together and they don't know I'm listening. The joy and laughter I hear when I'm cooking or folding laundry etc. just makes my heart happy!

  2. I hope everything is OK, Michelle!
Today I'm thankful for a day that I can stay in and get caught up on paperwork - even though I'm working I don't have to go out in the cold!!
