Festivities

Posted by Anonymous

Good morning everyone! I am going to need some extra coffee this morning to get this body going! This time of year I feel like I am in slow motion until about 10 am!! What’s up with that??

Well tis the season for festivities right? My weekend was full of them!

Saturday morning was the Santa Shuffle which you read about yesterday.

Saturday night, I went to an “Ugly Christmas Sweater” party. I got the “Christmas Sweater” part but not the “Ugly” part as I actually like the sweater I wore. I didn’t win first place for ugliest Sweater.

This guy did though…

Yes, that is a human sweater!

Sunday I spent the day listening to Christmas music and getting some baking on! I started with a hearty breakfast so I wouldn’t be hungry and nibble my way through all the baking.

I got all the stuff I needed out of the cupboards and got things going.

I made Shortbread, Hershey Kiss Cookies, Butter Tart Squares, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Crispy Squares.

I did sample one of each just to make sure they were all right!

Then I went for a run!

I am going to end today with some great news!!!

  1. I have never been to an ugly sweater party! Looks like some crazy fun! Oh, and I am absolutely loving the cold weather...finally warming up to 40s/50s this week and the ice is melting in Texas!

  4. Christmas music and baking is the best!! I usually go to my moms for a day and bake using her amazingly big kitchen counters (I have NO counter space). We bake mass amounts of like 12 kinds of cookies. Thumbprints with raspberry preserves and walnuts are my favorite!

I like your Christmas sweater too. Wow, the guy who won definitely deserved it. That's a hideous sweater!!
I love baking for Christmas. I make candy, fudge and cookies. And give them all away! (After testing them first, of course)
