Reset Button Pushed

Posted by CheapRunnerMichelle

So who would have thought that after the super crappy start to my week last week that it could get any worse....well it did...BIG TIME...so needless to say I couldn't wait for the week to be over...but lucky me...I was working all weekend, so my "last week" wasn't officially over until Sunday night at 6pm...I won't bore you with all the details that went into everything that was going on, instead I'll recap my weekend - and let you know how this week has started out so far.

Friday evening was a really thrilling evening for us cheapRunners...Rhoda and I became bean farmers

We ended our very riveting evening with a quick dip in the hot tub...very relaxing after a not so relaxing week!

Saturday morning I decided to finally for the 1st time last week log in to bloglovin and I almost cried

After catching up on a few - it was time to head to work - and lucky for me this past weekend marked the beginning of the Fall Bridal Show Season...so guess where I was all weekend

I ended up working the show both days by myself - so I was stupid crazy busy - and was so happy at the end of the day to be able to go home and

When I got home from work on Saturday night Rhoda and Kennedy had prepared an awesome pre-race feast...salad, garlic bread and pasta...ooohhh and we can't forget the dessert - butter tarts. Sorry no pic...we pigged out too quickly that I forgot to take a pic - sorry my bad - bad blogger.

As Rhoda told ya'll yesterday - we were all up bright and early on Sunday morning to head to the park for Mike and Rhoda to race (unfortunately we didn't have anyone to watch the kids - so this year I didn't get to race) but we got to cheer them on, offer high 5's and be their paparazzi!

Then it was back to the show for me...I should mention the benefits of working when your spouse is at home...coming home to a clean house, laundry done and birthday present hung

...seriously...how great is my hubby...I don't need you to answer that cause I already know how awesome he is!

Well I am happy to report that last week is behind me...and this week is already off to a MUCH better start

I ended up being off on Monday - which meant I got to spend all day with my favourite little man. After a few early morning errands - I ended up surprising him, and took him for a swim at the Y. He was so excited - and kept thanking me all day for taking him. Our next big plan for the day was, once Kennedy returned home from school - I was taking the kids to the local fair with my mom (Mike's a party pooper - and never wants to come with us - so he missed out on all the fun) I have been to the Western Fair every year of my life. My parents ALWAYS took me without fail every year - and so far - I have been able to continue that tradition with my kids. Instead of sharing every detail - I'll leave you with a "Fair Photo Dump"

ohh how fun!! there was a fair that i LOVED as a kid, and probably would still go to if i still lived in my old town. it looks like you have an awesome job, btw. also i get so stressed when i see that bloglovin you have 37439857935 unread posts - i hit "mark as all read" and the i scroll down, clicking accordingly on a few. its so stressful otherwise!

  4. I think you have more nail polish than the place where I get my nails done (I'm inept at doing my own!).
My BlogLovin looked like that after my quick trip to TX a few weeks ago and I ended up just marking all as read for sanity reasons!
I'm not a huge fair goer but your pictures make it look fun!

  5. He has a LOT of nail polish!
I like fairs, but there aren't many in the city here.
We don't really have new family traditions yet with our little unit of 3! Hopefully there will be some established!
Hope the week keeps getting better!

  6. Where did you get that amazing nail polish rack??? I am so jealous of it. I love fairs. My BF has a dairy farm and shows calves in the fair circuit so we see a lot of them.
