I Will Always Be Right There

Posted by CheapRunnerMike
Thirteen years ago today I said "I do" to my best friend. June 10, 2000. That was certainly one of the best things I have ever done in my life and I haven't regretted a moment.

Michelle and I met while we were still in high school and it didn't take long for the two of us to become friends. After a few years we were inseparable and before you knew it we were married. We were such good friends that we often joked that we never even dated...we skipped that step and went straight to marriage.

Our Wedding Day

As you can see we were married YOUNG. I was 21 and Michelle was only 20...it scares me to death to think about Kennedy wanting to get married at that age!

The ride has been a lot of fun these past thirteen years...we've been blessed with two beautiful children and life has generally been really good. We've shared some great times taking holidays together and spending time with friends and family. I really appreciate the last couple of years as we worked together to get fit and you helped push me into running. It has been something really enjoyable that we have been able to share together. I'm so proud of how well you are doing and how committed you have become.

Disney World with the Family

I love that we still enjoy spending time together, just the two of us. Our coffee dates at Starbucks are always a great treat where we can just hang out and get reconnected. It is great that our kids see their parents in love with each other. I know that is something that is never going to change.

Last Year's Anniversary in Key West

I start my day by giving you a kiss and telling you that I love you...I end my day doing the same. Just a perfect reminder of what is important. You mean the world to me and we bring out the best in each other. I know that you were made for me and I was for you. Happy Anniversary my Love...I'll end by quoting the song we used as our first dance;

I believe in us - Nothin' else could ever mean so much - You're the one I trust

Our time has come - We're not two people now - We are one - Ya you're second to none

Forever - we will be

Together - a family

The more I get to know ya - Nothin' can compare

With all of my heart - Ya know I'll always be - Right there

(Bryan Adams - I Will Always Be Right There)

I'll always be right here...love you.

  11. Thanks Katie...the funny part is that it doesn't seem that long. It has never really felt like "work" to us. We are very lucky/blessed I that regard!
