Would You Rather Running Style (Edition 2.0)

Posted by CheapRunnerMichelle

It's time for another edition of "Would You Rather Running Style" brought to you by this girl; but answered by moi.

#1. Would you rather bike 100 miles or run 100 miles?

Let's see would I rather my legs and butt be in agony or have my legs feel like they are going to fall off?!? Hhhmmmm this is a tough one, but I think I'll go with bike. At this point in my "running career" (yeah like I'm ever going to have one of those) I am really not interested AT. ALL. to run anything further than 13.1 miles. No marathon on the bucket list for this gal. I guess I'll just live vicariously through my 2 fellow CheapRunners.

#2. Wear too many clothes and then have to carry them because it's too hot or wear too little clothes and endure a little coldness?

Wear too many...(1) I am always cold (2) I can always roll my sleeves up (3) isn't this what the concept of "running" throw away clothes is for?!? (4) I can always hide some clothes in the bush and get them on the way back...right CheapRunnerRhoda...

#3. Would you rather run without your GPS or without your music?

My answer for this one depends...if I am running with someone else - then my answer would be without my music - as I would have someone to chit chat with and wouldn't need the distraction/motivation that my music gives me, BUT if it was a solo run, then definitely I would give up my GPS.

#4. Would you rather run socially or run competitively?

Although I know that I am NEVER going to win a race - I really enjoy racing. I love the miles that go into training for a race, I love the day of the race and the excitement that comes from doing something you love with hundreds or even thousands of others that share in that same passion...and come on, who doesn't love a good swag bag and medal?

#5. Would you rather start a race in the front or the back?

Where I always start...in the back. I am not a speed demon and like to make sure I am out of other runner's way

#6. Would you rather run a race to raise money for a charity or in remembrance of someone?

Remembrance...it makes me so grateful and mindful that I am alive and healthy enough to be running the race

#7. Would you rather have an awful race experience and PR or have the time of your life and not PR?

Definitely I'll take having a good time. Running for me is all about enjoying myself...and if I'm not doing that - then what's the point?

#8. Would you rather run on the right side of the road during a race or the left?

I'm a righty...I always stay as far right as possible...leaving lots of room for everyone that needs to speed by me

#9. Would you rather shower and take a nap after a long run/race or shower and be productive?

Be productive...my motto is that "I can sleep when I'm dead". There is far too much living to be done!

#10. Run with your significant other or your friends?

Is this a trick question? My significant other is my friend!...and since we don't get a chance to run together very often, it would certainly be a nice treat :)

I've never done much biking, but I think I would enjoy it...100 miles though...eh. I would choose neither :)

  5. Here's how I would answer;

1 - Bike 100 miles (or 112 miles to be specific, whenever I get around to doing an Ironman)
    2 - Too few clothes
3 - Without music...I only have music on my long runs
    4 - Competitively. I'm pretty competitive I guess.
    5 - Front for sure
    6 - Remembrance
    7 - Rather have fun
    8 - Left I suppose
    9 - Productive
    10 - My spouse

  6. I would rather wear too many clothes and hide them in the bushes to come back for them later... Wait. Was that an option??
