Good morning everyone! Happy Monday!
Every once in awhile I need a good Hermit weekend. A weekend, away from people and spent at home. Work has been so busy lately and there have been soo many people around every day that I was so happy to have one of these weekends. I didn’t fully intend on being a recluse all weekend but it sorta worked out. I was only out in public twice!
Friday night, I did go out for dinner to the restaurant my sister works at. I enjoyed a delicious and much needed Caesar!
And some authentic Italian Pizza.
Saturday morning I headed off to the gym. I knew I wanted to do a longish run but hadn’t decided how long it was going to be. I was able to get a good treadmill with some good TV sound so I settled into a good mindless run with the TV.
I ended up running for 2 hours and getting in 23.36 km/14.6 m.
That would be the end of any time I spent in public on the weekend.
I did spend quite a bit of time with this baby this weekend and it did me well.

Saturday night, I made a nice dinner and watched Bad Grandpa (don’t judge)!!
Sunday, I did some laundry and cleaning and then vegged out the rest of the day and night. I even watched the Super Bowl and actually enjoyed it!
I woke up this morning feeling recharged and ready to be around people again!

Did you do a long run this weekend?
I'm new to the foam roller. Do you think that the foam roller has improved your recovery? has it improved your running?

There are times that I could do with a hermit weekend - never truly happens because the boys are around, too but sometimes we all sort of close up for a bit!!!
ReplyDeleteYour dinner looks awesome.
No running for me after Friday (till this morning) - great job getting in a nice long treadmill run!
LOVE Hermit weekends. I wish I had more of them. And I need to learn to not feel guilty after having one.
ReplyDeleteHoly! Good job on the treadmill run! The pizza looks so delicious, there is something about authentic italian pizza, I think it's all in their crust and tomato sauce.
