What's in your Kitchen Sink?

Posted by CheapRunnerMichelle

So in totally sad news today we are on jet plane heading for home :( It's been an awesome family vaycay, but as they say "all good things must come to an end" (BTW - who came up with that stupid rule anyways?!?)

Any-who...one last and final Disney post for ya'll today. Friday was a pretty low key day during the day for us...but...we had a special surprise for the kids. A while back Mike came across this guy's blog and something that he recommended to try at least once on a visit was "the kitchen sink"

...that's right it's a GIANT kitchen sink sundae. I know you all are dying to know what's in it, so that you can rush out buy all the ingredients so that you can make it at home - so....here's the recipe for you:

½ cup fudge topping, warmed

½ cup butterscotch topping, warmed

½ cup peanut butter topping, warmed

1 medium banana, sliced in 1/2 –inch slices

1 cinnamon spice cupcake (2 ½ x 1 ¼-inch), quartered

1 angel food cupcake (3 x 1 ½-inch), quartered

2 4-oz. scoops vanilla ice cream

2 4-oz. scoops chocolate ice cream

2 4-oz. scoops strawberry ice cream

1 4-oz. scoop mint chocolate chip ice cream

1 4-oz. scoop coffee ice cream

3 tablespoons chocolate syrup

¼ cup marshmallow crème

¼ cup strawberry topping

¼ cup pineapple topping

1 14-oz can dairy whipped topping

1 brownie (6-inch x 6-inch), quartered

1 regular-sized (2 ounce) candy bar, quartered

4 chocolate cookies with cream filling

1 tablespoon sliced toasted almonds

1 tablespoon dark and white chocolate shavings

1 tablespoon chocolate cookies with cream filling, crushed

1 tablespoon chopped jellied orange slices (approximately 2 large slices)

1 tablespoon milk chocolate chip morsels

1 tablespoon peanut butter chip morsels

1 tablespoon chocolate sprinkles

1 tablespoon rainbow sprinkles

½ cup drained maraschino cherries

...and there you have it...a light little snack ;)

We ended Friday evening by attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

We ended up getting a little wet that night - but not enough to dampen our holiday spirit...as always Disney knows how to throw a great party - right down to the "snow" flying around on Main Street.

Until next year Disney....

PS. This may have totally happened in bed last night at midnight...I can neither confirm or deny....

  4. I love your daughters face in the sink picture. She is so full.

Being from Ontario I've enjoyed Disney World many many times and last year we went to Disneyland and I loved it too. Have you ever been to the "land"? Which did you like better?

  7. It was alot of fun - the restaurant had a siren go off when they brought it to the table and the lights flashed and the waitress was yelling - definately worth experiencing at least once!
